Have you ever visited Nikko, the destination that near Tokyo. I was planning to visit this town when I go Tokyo, and it don't disappoint me
https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3800.html
I took train from Kasukabe station to Tobu-Nikko station, costs 1130Yen.
I spent one night here, the place is very beautiful as for me... I visited it on September, which is Autumn, but the leaves haven't turn all red, but the weather is cooler than summer.
There is many famous Shrines and Temples in this place, you can check them out in the link above, but don't worry, not only that, there is many nature landscapes for sightseeing as well. I'm sure you will be very enjoying traveling around the place. When you landed in Tokyo, you see many human on the train, many high buildings, things seem very cramped in the city. But once you step out from the train at Nikko, you will feel different air, different atmosphere, different feeling (Kimochiii :)

The place is 543m above the sea
You can either take bus or walk to see around the town, but there is some further place that is not walk-able then you have to take bus. You better check the bus schedule detail for your schedule, it is not as frequent as you think, but they are always on-time (very impressive)This is Shinkyo Bridge, it looks very beautiful with the landscape around it (really)

Thank you
I really wanted to go to Japan this year, and I made plans for it too. But after the COVID crisis, all my plans were foiled and I was disappointed. Seeing your blog reminded me that there is still time for me, so thank you!
ReplyDeleteSame here. Normally we go Japan every year, and this year We planned to go Tokyo again, so I can visit Nikko and Hakone again. But the Covid stops everything. Now everyday we monitors Japan news to see when they can open for tourist. Praying for it. :)
